Nathan has been a student of Buddhism for over 20 years. In 2003 he began an in-depth study with Venerable Master Richard Sittinger, Vajracharya (Lama Kadag Dorje Rinpoche). This led to a three year intensive priest training through Buddha Heart International, Taiwan. Nathan holds lineages in Tibetan and Chinese styles of practice and leads meditation groups in PureLand Zen.
In 1999 Nathan graduated from StillpointCenter for the Healing Arts and began practicing Massage Therapy. He has continued to practice through the present day, re-energizing his education with new modalities throughout the years. He also gained many alternative bodywork skills while attending school for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Arizona, where he earned a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine in 2007.
Nathan approaches bodywork and healing with the understanding that the energy of the body is all-pervasive. The energies of the body, mind and spirit are all interconnected; therefore change must take place throughout the whole person for healing to occur. He utilizes several different techniques to facilitate a profound change not only in the physical body, but also in the energetic, spiritual body.
